Rooney's mind off the ball with misread text
Footballer Wayne Rooney had his mind off the ball when he misread a text message on fiancee Coleen McLoughlin's mobile phone, and thought she had a secret admirer.

The injured England and Manchester United player mistook the timing of the message "5am" for the name "Sam", Miss McLoughlin disclosed in an interview with women's magazine Marie Claire.

"He went: 'Who's this Sam?' thinking it was some lad," Miss McLoughlin, 20, said. "I'm going: 'What are you going on about, who's Sam?"'

Miss McLoughlin told the magazine that she grabbed her telephone back to see that Rooney had become confused by a message sent by a friend at 5am.
